Silicon Manganese (SiMn) – High‑Efficiency Deoxidizer and Alloying Agent for Steelmaking and Foundry Applications
Silicon Manganese (SiMn) is a versatile ferroalloy composed of silicon and manganese, typically containing 60‑70% manganese and 15‑25% silicon. It serves as a powerful deoxidizer, desulfurizer, and alloying additive in steelmaking, while also acting as a pre‑inoculant and structure modifier in cast iron production.
Produced through submerged arc furnace smelting and carefully controlled cooling and crushing, our SiMn alloy delivers consistent composition, excellent dissolution behavior, and high element recovery. It enables efficient oxygen and sulfur removal, promotes fine grain structure, and improves the strength, toughness, and hardenability of steel and iron.
We provide steel mills and foundries with multiple grades (e.g., SiMn65‑17, SiMn68‑18), customizable particle‑size distributions, and reliable bulk supply. Supported by full metallurgical analysis and application guidance, we are committed to being your trusted partner in achieving higher process efficiency, superior product quality, and cost‑effective alloying solutions.
