Calcium‑Silicon‑Manganese Alloy is a composite metallurgical additive designed with synergistic calcium, silicon, and manganese elements, typically containing 8%–15% calcium, 45%–55% silicon, and 20%–30% manganese. It serves as a key functional material for deep deoxidation, desulfurization, and multi‑dimensional control of inclusion morphology, size, and distribution in the production of high‑quality special steels, stainless steels, and ultra‑clean alloy steels. The product offers core advantages such as strong synergistic effect between calcium vapor and manganese‑sulfur binding, low‑melting‑point deoxidation products that easily float, and outstanding dispersion and refinement of inclusions, along with characteristics including reasonable melting range, stable dissolution behavior, and wide compositional compatibility. It enables composite metallurgical effects of calcium, manganese, and silicon during LF/VOD refining, ladle argon stirring, and tundish metallurgy, significantly reducing oxygen and sulfur content in steel, promoting the plasticization of calcium aluminate‑manganese sulfide composite inclusions, and improving steel isotropy and resistance to hydrogen‑induced cracking (HIC).
Produced via vacuum induction melting and controlled‑rate solidification technology, combined with multi‑phase microstructure regulation and surface passivation encapsulation, the product exhibits low hygroscopicity, high bulk density, and low harmful gas content. It effectively suppresses secondary oxidation of calcium, reduces fume generation during injection, and improves alloy yield and process stability. It is particularly suitable for critical energy and chemical materials with stringent requirements for inclusion control and HIC sensitivity, such as pipeline steel, ship plate steel, pressure vessel steel, high‑strength fastener steel, and steels specialized for hydrogen sulfide corrosion resistance.
