Aluminum Granules (72% Al) – A Highly Reactive Aluminum Source for Efficient Thermit Reduction and Alloy Strengthening
Aluminum Granules (72% Al) are a granular metallurgical-grade aluminum-based material with aluminum content stabilized at around 72%. They serve as a key additive in steelmaking, foundry, and non-ferrous metallurgy for deoxidation, alloying, and thermit reduction processes. The product offers core advantages such as high aluminum activity, excellent reaction kinetics, and consistent batch composition, along with characteristics including concentrated particle size distribution, good flowability, and high bulk density. It enables rapid dissolution and efficient aluminum transfer during ladle refining, secondary treatment, and thermit smelting, significantly improving steel cleanliness, refining grain structure, and enhancing overall alloy performance.
Produced through melt atomization or mechanical crushing processes, combined with precise aluminum‑silicon ratio control and surface passivation treatment, the product exhibits low oxygen content, low gas inclusions, and a dense, uniform surface. It effectively reduces aluminum loss, prevents secondary oxidation, and controls the formation of aluminum‑bearing inclusions. It is particularly suitable for applications with stringent requirements for aluminum content and reaction controllability, such as high‑quality special steels, wear‑resistant cast iron, high‑temperature alloys, and thermit production of non‑ferrous metals like titanium or chromium.
We provide metallurgical and material‑processing enterprises with multiple particle size specifications (0.1–3 mm), customizable aluminum‑silicon ratios, and full‑process quality traceability for 72% aluminum granules, along with technical application support. We are committed to being your technical partner in achieving precise metallurgical reaction control, enhancing alloy performance, and optimizing production costs.
